What needs doing in the garden in May

1. Look after your finished spring bulbs for next year. Once they’ve gone over, resist the temptation to cut back the foliage. Instead, let it die and break down on its own and add liquid fertiliser all around the clumps. This will give you an even better display next spring.

2. Optimise your watering regime - watering early and late to get the most out of your water - and start collecting and recycling water whenever possible.

Garden of Cosmic Speculation

Has anyone heard of the Garden of Cosmic Speculation? Thought we’d post a bit about this interesting garden. It’s a garden that was begun in Scotland in 1989 by Charles Jencks at his home.
Jencks is a passionate advocate of the latest theories about the universe and it’s history, and several areas of his garden are designed as visual metaphors for scientific theories.
