Garden Design Trends for 2019; porcelain paving for indoors and out

The Society of Garden Designers have asked some of their leading garden designers for predictions on garden design trends for this year.
Designer Jon Simms is expecting the "rise of porcelain in garden design, and thinks it won't be long before the demand for indoor colour creeps outdoors. He envisages a move away from using replica stone in the garden and an increase in colour choice and pattern in hard landscape materials."

Time to start sowing some Vegetables!

If you're into growing your own vegetables it is ok now to start sowing, for some things.

You can put in now warm climate vegetables that need to be well established by the beginning of summer to fruit, (like tomatoes, chillies, peppers and aubergines) or long-season vegetables that need plenty of time to fatten up, (such as celeriac, brussels sprouts, sprouting broccoli, summer cauliflowers, celery and leeks.)
